Recent media coverage has highlighted the problems with the Icelandic banking system and the resulting issues for UK savers as well as for local authorities, charities and others who have funds deposited with these banks.
In particular, some some organisations have begun to announce material loans to Icelandic banks which they may now not be able to recover.
